Bavarian Hefeweizen Question

This is only my 3rd brew and my first with the Hefeweizen. I want to boost the VBA so the guy at the store suggested adding more malt extract so I purchased 1lb of dry Plain Wheat which is 55% wheat and 45% barley. In the instructions it says to add about half of the liquid extract and bring to a boil, add the hops and add the balance of liquid extract along with the dry extract that comes with the kit with only 15 minutes left to the boil. My question is, at what point during the boil should I add the additional dry extract I purchased? Does it really matter? I can’t image it would cause too much problem with the brew but I just want to do things right.

It really doesn’t matter. Late in the boil if you do not want it to make the beer darker from carmelization. Technically, you could even add it at high krauzen (during fermentation).
