Bad batch?

This is my second batch of cider. The first one went well and was made with straight apple juice (no additional juices for flavor). This batch has some raspberry juice in it for a slightly different flavor. I used AJ concentrate and brown sugar to get it up to about 8% on the hydro. I am 24 hours in, and I see whats in the picture. Is this just some of the sugar? Or is this some sort of mold?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I’d just wait it out and see. If the batch is infected the fact will become clear with time. If you used good sanitation practices you’re probably fine.

What is going to be my main indicator down the road if it is bad? Obvious molding? Smell?
