Back sweeten with a lambic

So a while back I made a trippel and added a 750ml of lindemans kriek at bottling time. It came out really good. So now I am working on a cider and was wondering if anyone had ever done something like that with one. I debated adding 1/2 gallon pear juice to 4 1/2 gallons cider to back sweeten it and give it some flavor but now I am thinking maybe doing 1-2 750ml of a flavored lambic instead. any thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea to me. It might taste really really good. Go for it and let us know how it turns out!

So it’s been in the keg for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Letting it carb up to a ‘sparkling’ level. I put in one 750ml of Lindemans framboise at kegging. It has a very subtle flavor but is not quite sweet enough. An I don’t like really sweet ciders like woodchuck. Could probably have even used two 750ml but I think I’m just goin to add a 1/2 gal of apple or pear juice to help back sweeten more.
