APA recipe feedback welcomed

Looking for some feedback on this one even though it is a relatively simple recipe. Haven’t used Amarillo before and this will be the first go at dry-hopping.

5 gallon batch

9lbs US 2-Row
1lb US Caramel 10L
1lb US Victory

.5 oz Simcoe 60 min
.5 oz Amarillo 60 min
.5 oz Simcoe 1 min
.5 oz Amarillo 1 min
1 oz Amarillo dry hopped

Wyeast 1056

OG: 1.055
FG: 1.012
ABV: 5.7
IBU: 38
SRM: 10.4

Looks pretty good. Another ounce of hops late wouldn’t be too over the top should you have one.

Simcoe and Amarillo make a great blend. I’d add some in the 15-20 minute range, though. Or try first wort hooping. I used that blend as FWH in an IPA and it came out great.

Add some hop in the 30-10 minute range for a dose of flavor.

Looks really good to me. I wouldn’t change a thing without brewing it first, noting everything as it’s brewed, fermented, and packaged, and noting your impressions when it’s done.

Just for comparison reference, here’s my last APA and I’d say I really liked it, but it’s pushing more toward a session IPA. It ended up refreshingly bitter, slightly dry, very hoppy, and with loads of hop aroma and flavor. Dry hopped in the keg with 1/4 oz of whole hops too.

The Cascade Centennial blend are home grown Michigan hops and the alpha is just a wild guess.
I mashed this at 148.

Similar grist to yours but different hops.

Thanks all!

I ended up brewing as is and first impression says should be pretty good. Definitely like the bitter/aroma profile from the Simcoe/Amarillo combination. Will surely brew it again and add some hops in the 15 minute range to enhance.
