Anyone with experience splitting medicine ball size rhizome

I want to sell out my hops, and one Centennial and one Cascade mounds are probably basketball/medicine ball size rhizomes. Anyone with experience splitting ones these size ?

What you’ll see will look like a big mass of woody roots all wrapped together once you get them excavated. You can lop off all the rhizomes that most likely have formed and then take some type of saw and (looking from above) quarter the crown by cutting right through it. Basically, any part of that crown that has a few buds on it will act like a ‘super rhizome’ and take right off for whoever it’s going to. I did this with an old Cascade crown for a local brewery a few years ago and they managed about 200 plants out of it. Your results may vary.
