today where a brewery in Iceland smokes the malted barley over smoldering sheep dung. I’m curious but not sure I’d even want to try it.

You’d think they’d do volcano smoked malt in Iceland.
I can hear the conversation now - “what should we do with all this sheep dung?” … “I don’t know let’s burn it and smoke some barley and brew some beer”… “That sounds good.”
I’m pretty sure the phrase, “Hold my beer. I’m gonna try sometin’!” was involved.
