Anyone brewing today?

Greetings all,

today is the 2nd of 3 brewdays for me this week (taking a week of long overdue PTO).

Monday was an English IPA, today is a Bohemian pilsner, and Friday is undecided (probably a Foreign Extra Stout).

Is anyone else firing up their kettles this week?

Bklmt2000

I’d certainly like to, but probably won’t brew again for a week or so. I brewed 5 times in March and I think I’ve brewed a total of 13 or so times this year, which is an insane amount for me. I’m only brewing 3 gallon batches, but I also don’t buy beer anymore and have started bottling every few batches. I really like having bottled and kegged beer around, that way I can have the pleasure and experience of both. I really like the experience of popping the cap off a bottle but also like pouring a nice half pint or taking a growler, sediment/yeast free, to a friend’s place.
Have a good brew day!

That’s awesome man, get those fermenters filled!

I’m brewing the Innkeeper BIAB on Friday. Got my starter going last night. I’m thinking of doing a brown ale like palmer’s elevenses on Monday as well.

We are brewing an Anchor Liberty clone. Mash water starts heating up at 9:00 am.

Might brew tonight seeing how the weather might be dicey for the rest of the work week. Brewing Saturday 2x for sure.

If all goes as planned I will be brewing an APA on Saturday and then when primary fermentation is done I am flipping that yeast cake into an IPA.

Brewing Avery’s white rascal on Friday. Will be my 10th of the year.

Brewing up a big American IPA right now!

Experimental hop 1210 with some Amarillo/Simcoe/Warrior mixed in along the way for good measure.

Smells real nice! 8)

Of all the great Avery beers… you go and pick that one.

yeah, it’s not for me. It’s for the girlfriend. She likes it. and wanted me to brew her something. So away i go.

Tomorrow for me:
I’ll brew an all grain stout, rack a brown ale to bottling bucket, then pour the stout wort onto the US05 yeast cake.
Then bottle the brown ale.
Then take a nap.

Was supposed to brew an imperial stout today but by time i got home and ate dinner i no longer feel like it. After working all day, my good intentions always crash when i get home.

Made a yeast starter just now. Brewing a Raspberry American wheat next week. When the carboy is free, I’m planning to brew an Octoberfest so it can lager a good long time to be ready in mid September.

Friday is going to be an all centennial IPA…

not brewing, but i’m transferring my 14%! english barleywine into a coney keg for aging.

Not brewing, but I did just finish doing this. A nice RIS thats based off Old Rasputin, and I must say, from the sample I just drank, tastes EXACTLY like it should.

i brewing an american wheat from bcs this weekend

VERY jealous. Been trying to get around to making this, but haven’t been able to get the gumption to buy a new fermenter for it to age in. Cheers, man, hope it’s delicious.

Brewing this weekend. Octoberfest to get it going. And then the next 2 weeks I am off between finishing current job and starting a new one. Have an IPA planned to do, finish drinking 2 cases of Kolsch, and trying to convenience SWMBO to allow me to buy another one to do.

Going to be a long two weeks of down time.
