ALuminum VS Stainless

I see that most retailers are pushing stainless steel kettles for boiling. Anyone know of any drawbacks to using aluminum kettles? I have seen nothing that’s specifically says not too. Plus I have found some aluminum pots that are about half the cost of the stainless.

AL is fine. Years ago, there were myths about it floating around, but that all been disproven. I used an AL pot to boil for many years and won a lot of ribbons with it. I still use it to heat water, although I now boil in a converted keg.
