I read in the remarks on the Cream Ale Extract Kit that some had added blueberries or orange and coriander. I’m new to brewing (4th batch) and would like to add something to this brew. Question: how much do I add and when do I add it??
The million dollar question! In the end, it’s all about personal tastes.
For me, commercial vanilla porters are to strong. I like just a hint of vanilla, one bean in 5 gallons. Other like 2-3.
I have not used blue berries. Just a guess, 2lbs may give a hint to go decent presence of flavor.
Add them after fermentation has subsided. Start low with the quantity and work your way up.
