Accidental use of PBW as a sterilizer

I’m very new to homebrewing and I’ve been struggling with making a good batch. My first batch of NB American Wheat was unbelievably delicious. I then made a NB Irish Red and it was quite bland, after that I made a NB Caribou slobber and it was also bland.

What I just discovered tonight was that I was using PBW as a sanitizer. Does anyone know what PBW does to beer (nothing, something?)?


P.S. I’m now using Starsan moving forward.

If you used PBW without rinsing you’ll have to throw the beer away. PBW cannot be ingested.
