2012 Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Challenge Winning Recipe?

For the 2012 Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Challenge, can someone post the winning recipe?

Lagunitas posted a foundation recipe, inviting others to contribute.

I am looking for a solid, tried-and-true, clone of Hop Stoopid.

There is a recipe in this book

Thanks. I realize there are recipes out there. I am looking specifically for the top recipe from Lagunitas’ Hop Stoopid Challenge in 2012.

In my opinion, brewing a super juicy hoppy beer can’t be done by reproducing someone else’s recipe on your system. You have to understand how hop utilization works on your system in all steps (boil, chilling, cold-side) and maximizing oil extraction while getting enough isomerization from your alphas to get the bitterness you are looking for.

I can tell you that the recipe from “Craft Beer for the Homebrewer”, brewed on my system, is scary close to Hop Stoopid.

That’s the one featured in NW Brewing News. Did you prefer the pellets, or whole hops?

Denny - have you gotten close with Arrogant Bastard or the Double Bastard?

Pellets, no doubt about it. The one we did for NWBN was toned down from the “real thing”. We reduced the OG to the mid 60s and cut the hops back to “only” 264 IBU. Here’s the full write up…http://www.experimentalbrew.com/blogs/d … whole-hops

Haven’t tried to brew those.
