2 gallon batch adjustments?

Any suggestions or resources on how to scale down a 5 gallon extract or extract + specialty grains batch to a 2 gallon batch?

Input your recipe into a program like Hopville and then scale just scale it all down.
Keep an eye on your OG, SRM & IBU. When you scale it down, just make sure your numbers are the same as the 5 gallon batch.

Multiply by 0.4?

You might consider 2.5gal half-batches, makes the math easier. Plus there are certain things that don’t necessarily scale, like the amount of loss to trub in your boil pot and the amount of wort used for gravity readings. 2.5-3gal batches gives you a case of beer for your efforts.
