I am playing with my new Tilt hydrometer watching a Brett beer lower in gravity and I am seeing that my gravity, which is close to being done, drops every 3 days by .001 at 72F. So what I always used to practice of 2 days stability is not very good practice it turns out. Especially if you are worried about infection or playing around with Brett.
So what you’re saying… Even 2 days after primary fermentation, it hasn’t changed enough to warrant a free rise to room temp? OR, being left handed, I’ve missed the boat… again? Sneezles61
In this case, after 3 weeks, the Brett is still working and in temp range of best practice. If I wasn’t really paying attention 1.009 for 2 days straight would be done for me. Now I see that it take 3 days to see a drop at this minimal a gravity and activity.
