16 gallon pot

Anybody see a problem with this? Or would this be pretty good for brewing. The website says it would be but I dont always trust the internet…

It’s a 16 gallon stainless steel kettle. It would be great. Don’t see why you are worried. Plenty of people use bayou classic pots.

Plus it already has a valve.

got for it if the price is right.

The price looks great to me. Just wanted to get a second opinion.

also you could do 12 gal batches if you wanted with the recommended 30% extra head space.

12+(12*30%) = 15.6 gal. Even have close to extra half gallon extra.

Where could you get a false bottom that would work with that?

Thats what I’ve been wondering. I was thinking of just making one.

Only if I decide to buy more han one and start working towards building a brewing cart. All I would put in the first onewould be a dip tube.

This is what im planning on getting http://www.ebay.com/itm/130690740507?ss … 1423.l2649 its 80 qt which equals 20Gal they have a 60 and 100qt ones as well.
