1 Gallon Batch Recipes

I’ve seen lots of 5-gallon recipe resources, but not too many small batch 1-gallon ones. I have a small apartment and only room for a couple of 1-gallon batches.

Is it fair to take the 5-gallon recipes and divide amount by 5 or is that asking for some trouble?

You can. It will be difficult especially with LME, so you might look into building your own kit. Our host has 1gal kits.
