Water report

Postby mtkeg on Sat Nov 07, 2009 4:32 am

I can't get my local water department to send me a water report with the info I need for brewing. What to do? How do I go about sending a water sample to a lab?

Search the web for Ward Labs. They do water analysis for homebrewers at a reasonable fee. Someone will probably post the link.

Thanks. I'm so tired of not knowing what I'm working with. Every time I make a pale ale or an IPA I wonder if I should be adding some gypsum to boil. Thats only because I see it in so many recipes, but I don't know if I really need it.
