de gassing

i am making woodforde wherry bitter.on the packet it says once fermentation is complete transfer into bottles.it doesnt say to de gas it before doing so.do i need to do this.if so can i do this by just tipping the beer from one bucket to another several times and then leave it to clear.

You definately don't want to tip fermented beer from one bucket to another. After fermentation, oxygen is the enemy.
