What’s your go to brown ale yeast?

I’m going to be brewing my first brown ale soon and was curious as to what everyone’s favorite yeast strain was?

Wyeast 1028

I like the English ale yeasts better. Sneezles61

WLP028 Edinburgh yeast. Although it’s listed as Scottish ale yeast this is one of my favorites for Brown ales and other styles . It’s creates a nice malty beer and your hops are not muted with it. Allowing a nice balance of both. It’s realy one of the best ale yeast out there. It’s works great in alot of different styles and you can never go wrong with it.

Second this… WLP028 really does make a nice brown ale.

I like S-04 for my brown ales. But this year I’m on a WY1450 kick and have been using that on everything from a Kvass to Porter to Brown ale to Irish Red, and Pale ale. So far, it’s worked well for everything.

London Ale III aka Wyeast 1318
“Originating from a traditional London brewery, this yeast has a wonderful malt and hop profile. It is a true top cropping strain with a fruity, very light and softly balanced palate. This strain will finish slightly sweet.”
