In a pinch you can sanitize with bleach. But since you need to rinse it really well, there's a risk of introducing some unwanted microbe.
One of the the guys in our club. Uses all natural dye free unsented antibacterial soap. That he gets at target in dish detergent aisle. He claims been using it for years and never had a infected beer in 10 years using it.
