Some silly kegging questions:

Agreed and kind of what I was trying to say. Do you have knowledge of the safety factor on kegs? Just curious because 300 PSI seems a bit high.

Sorry but I donā€™t know the specific safety factors. It may vary by keg type and manufacturer. I just looked at 5 of my pin lock corny kegs. All are stamped with 130 psi max working pressure but none of them indicate relief valve setting, nor design pressure. A quick on-line search did not provide any clear answers for design pressure. I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever have a reason to go over 30 psi.

Definitely good to talk about safety considerations with equipment and techniques on this forum. I was noodling around and found a discussion of using kegs for air tanks. Someone raised the point that the tubing would fail before the keg. Probably seals and fittings would fail as well. Donā€™t plan on doing the research myselfā€¦ :sunglasses:
