Has anyone tried using soaker irrigation hose to water their hops? I was thinking of running a length of this hose on both sides of the rows of hops since their roots are so extensive.
Their roots are as long as they are tall… You’ll go broke trying to get them all wet! If your ground is sandy soil… A bit more watering would help along with a good compost cap… If your ground has clay… they won’t need as much water… But again… a good compost cap will help… I’ll be looking forward to some pictures of your little friends! I remember when I was messing with hops they suggested drip irrigation. A soaker hose would be very similar.
