Sake Calculator

Okay - finally figured out my stuff and made a calculator in google docs. Feel free to download/put into your own google drive.

The first page sets up the ratio/parts.

Generally, if you use the defaults, it will follow Taylor-MadeAK’s guide pretty close. It expects a 3 step moromi. The steps are in “parts” and the time is inverted so that you add the most time first, so I treat time as part of the ingredients to each step.

Have fun and hope it works for you.

On to other news, I was able to buy polished rice from Minnesota Rice milling. 60% Yamada Nishiki as well as 68% Aborrio rice. Looking to finally make some real sake this fall/winter.
