SafAle S-04 Ale Yeast question

Good morning brewers, how much SafAle S-04 Ale Yeast should I use for a 5 gallon batch? One or two packets? Thanks!

I have always used one packet. The only times I have used more (not of this strain) is if I am brewing a lager and fermenting in cooler temp range.

Normally one is plenty for gravities up to 1.060. What are you brewing? I never re-hydrate it BTW just sprinkle it in.

What is your original gravity (OG)?

I am brewing the Fruit Bazooka IPA. And that was my OG. Thanks for your response!

It is 1060.

I would go with one. You can add the other later if things don’t go well but I think it will be fine.
