Pump for bottle washing rig

Hi All.

I am building a bottle washing rig out of 1/2" CPVC pipe. It should be able to hold 36 bottles at at time. It will be similar to the one in this video. http://youtu.be/35zhUHyIy_g

I need a pump for the rig. Harbor Freight has a 620 GPH pond pump for $35 that I think will work fine. http://www.harborfreight.com/620-gph-su … 68393.html

Is this one sufficient, or should I move up to a bigger pump like this 1/6 HP utility pump. It is $20 more. http://www.harborfreight.com/16-horsepo … -8394.html

They have other models in the $50 range, but I dont feel the need for anything over 1500 GPH.

Thoughts?

I,m gonna use the 1/6 hp submersible…I have the pond pump you describe and I,m not thrilled with the pressure it has…From what I,ve read of the submersible, it shour be more that adequate and usefull for other brewery cleaning jobs as well  Tank

This is awesome. I have an empty corny sitting in my kitchen waiting for me to motivate to clean my lines. Eff that. I’m making this ASAP. My only concern is that it doesn’t look like the reservoir is very large. I have 4 9ft lengths of beer line. Do you think I could do this with one batch of cleaning solution or would I probably need two or more batches?

Awesome idea man. Guessing this ran about $30 with all the fittings?
