Hello I just little confused about northern brewer all-grain recipe’s kit’s they say there kit’s are for 5 gallon’s. Is that 5.00 gal keg or bottle. So is it 5.00 of total wort going into my fermenter or is it more like 5.50gal going into my fermenter to equal the 5gal of keg or bottle beer
The recipes are for 5 gallons of wort in the fermentor. You could add a half gallon to make up for some of the loss to trub. I go 5 gallons to get 48 full bottles to fill two cases.
Its a 5 gall recipy. But. Brew like 6.5 gall due to loss in your boil kettle. So on the end you got 5 gall wort
