New Funk Source - The Yeast Bay

I’m just getting around to brewing it now. Did 6 beers in between LOL. I went with the Bier de Mars kit from Northern Brewer and the Saison Brett from Yeast Bay. Will let you know how it turns out. So many beers, so little time!

I let the Biere de Mars ferment for 9 months, finally bottling it in October. Turned out really nice. Good blend of malty and funky/estery from the Saison-Brett Blend. Would definitely use The Yeast Bay again.

. . . and the label

Brewed with The Yeast Bay’s “Wallonian Farmhouse” blend and Midwest’s Blonde Ale, and served it on July 4th. The Keg was tapped within a couple of hours. The beer was fantastic! Light, funky, slightly tart, highly drinkable, just exactly what you want from a Farmhouse beer.

I highly recommend The Yeast Bay and all of their offerings. So far they’re batting a thousand with me.
