New brewer bottling question

I’m about to bottle for the first time. I have new bottles but don’t see anywhere that I need to clean them before I start. I assume washing them out with soap and water would be ok? Any advice would be great! Thanks

First time I clean out with pbw cleaner then rinse well with hot water and drain. Then sanitize them with starsan solution and let all the starsan run out.

Soap residue will kill head retention… If you don’t have what Mike suggests… I’d at least give them as hot a bath/rinse as you can… drain upside down…
