Anyone dry their own bitter orange or citrus peel to use in their beer?
Nope. Fresh only so far.
Same here but Im always eating the oranges tangerines and stuff why not just dry them and have them ready for brewing save some time on brew day
Good idea. I end up eating mine but inevitably one will go to waste.
Interesting. Not sure why the thought never crossed my mind, but I definitely contribute enough citrus peels to the compost pile, that at this point, I could have dried enough for a few batches of carbonated water (or beer)!
Looks pretty easy to do. Peel the fruit scrape the pith off and dry on the counter. I'll peruse the produce aisle next week. People talking Wit got me thinking
