Juniper Berries + Cider?

I’m new to brewing and am just finishing up my first small (1 gallon) batches of cider. I like gin and am considering adding juniper berries to my next small batch to try and achieve that “piney” flavor. Has anyone done anything like this before? I know that some of the commercial cideries are doing this in limited runs, so it can be done.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

I never added them to my cider but works great in my some of my ipa’s. Most the time I just make hopped cider lately my two favorite is mandarins baraiva and cascade
