Hi,
I made a braggot and I did not start with a beer yeast first before adding a mead yeast. The braggot finished sweet and very malty. I am wondering could I blend it with a wine or mead to smooth it out?

Depends. Does it taste quite good? I mean, is the only flaw that it’s too malty and sweet? If that’s it, you can do some bench trials to see if that helps, but do the math: if it’s going to take five times as much wine or mead to blend away the braggot, sometimes you just have to cut your losses.
Hi Tim,
Wow that much wine/mead to turn the braggot around. I guess we will be drinking a malty braggot.
Thank you for the reply.
