hops

My Fuggles seem to ripen A lot faster than my cascade and wild hops.I live in New Hampshire and have used the wild ones for brewing last year,Brown IPA came out great.Any advise or just harvest when ready.

When they’re ripe, they’re ripe! Think of them just like apples. Certain varieties are early, some mid season and others late. It’s good to have early and later ripening varieties growing together in that as you check for ripeness you’ll be able to feel the difference between the ones that are nearing ripeness and the later ones that have a way to go. Pick On!
