Heading Liquid

In cleaning out my dad’s brewing closet from the 1970s I found a lot of charming unused equipment and supplies. This bottle of Heading Liquid is something I’ve not run into before.
Contains: Qualia Bark Extract, Acetic Acid, and Sulphur Dioxide. 1/2 oz works for 16 gallons of beer.

Been a long time but i have seen few bottles of that. They claimed
it encourages stable and lasting head retention. I have not ever used it myself.

Got to be pretty cool to go through and see what was offered back then!

Even to see some brewing logs… See what, if anything has drastically changed…

Seeing the writing on that cap, I don’t know if I would drink it! It must be riddled with sugar!
Very cool tho! What was that soda… Jolt? All the sugar and twice the caffeine… Tried a few…

Most likely different label requirements then. And, they were most likely being used as there wasn’t a source for beer caps and these were offered as ‘over runs.’ Still see that sometimes. One vendor was offering TONS of caps from a now defunct brewery.
