Garden postpones brew day again

With needing to harvest at the right time brewing always seems to suffer. Beans, cucumbers, corn, and finally the grapes.

Second bucket of grapes. Will process these into juice and hold in the beer frig until Sunday then make some jelly.

Should be a brew day on Saturday. Getting low on my porter. Only one case left.

I’m considering wine for next year.

Porter secondaried on grapes, perhaps?

These are Concord grapes. Just thinking they may be too tart for the porter.

I think they would be great, but you’re probably right and I’d want to keep it fairly light so it doesn’t get too acidic. Some vinous notes in a porter that isn’t too roasty or bitter would probably be really nice, maybe with a lower attenuating yeast.

I’ve used grape juice in cider. Enjoyed the results after it aged properly.
