I brewed my first homebrew recipe, BIAB without any previous brewing experience which I tried today and I’m so happy with it.
I would compare it to the Serrea Navada Pale Ale, wasn’t quite as strong as I intended due to too much water use and I’m sure it can be improved but I just wanted to say cheers to all the advice and tips I received on here when posting a few first time brew/n00b worries! - it really helped, certainly the most honest and fair forum crowd.
Great to hear of your success! One of the best things about home brewing is learning about your ingredients. Start another batch and save a bottle or two from this batch to compare. Eventually you will be able to notice all the subtle differences in yeast, hops, and grains. I think this knowledge makes all beers more enjoyable to drink… just don’t bore your friends too much about your new knowledge.
