Hello. I want to make a recipe I got from the huge Brew Dogs release. (check it out if you haven’t seen it!) But this particular recipe calls for 5.6lbs of Extra Pale malt. What is Extra Pale? Where can I get some? And if in fact it cannot be found in grain form, what would be equal in extract? Also Is there a calculator/conversion chart for 'grains to DME/LME" somewhere? Thank you.
Pilsner malt @ 1.2 or so, maybe. Some 2-row is under 2.0.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. It looks to be hard to find in the USA although there does appear to be a Munton’s Maris Otter Extra Pale version around that appears to be 1.5.
I just brewed the Electric India recipe today using 2-row so I’ll see how it turns out. I’m looking to do the Punk IPA next but I’d like to actually be able to find some if possible.
