Dry Hopping for the first time

Hi folks

Rudimentary question I’m afraid - I
Am about to dry hop for the first time using an SS Brewtech Chronical fermenter I have 2 questions

  1. Do I just lift the lid off and won’t that oxygenate my beer ?

2 am planning to use some tea infusers with the hops in to save a bit on cleaning - when I am racking to kegs later should I remove these before racking or does that not matter ?

Many thanks

There should be a small blanket of CO2 on top of the beer but it’s not a bad idea to purge the headspace with CO2 after that.
You can use tea balls, just make sure you don’t overload them or you’ll get dry spots in the middle and lose the effectiveness of the hop addition.
How are you controlling temps on your conical?

I use nylon mesh bags to dry hop. I typically use 6-8 ounces in the dry hop so tea balls are out of the questions. No need to remove them before racking, either.

Thanks  Guys
