I finally got my plate chiller cleaned out and working. Tested it on my first brew of the season, and it worked very well. I would like to switch the Wort In and Wort Out ports due to the configuration of my setup. I know I have to switch the Water In and Water Out ports too. Does anyone know of any problems in swapping the flow of the liquids as long as the flow of the wort and water are still in opposite directions? All ports are 1/2" MPT.
No, direction of internal flow does not matter, provided the hot flow and cold flow are in opposite directions, as you stated.
