Dead Ringer comparison

Been meaning to get back to this topic. Here’s a recent dead ringer batch of mine. 3-gallon, all-grain BIAB.
The light is brighter here, but I thing this is much closer in color to the Two Hearted in @hd4mark’s first post.

That’s a great looking brew! Do you take any steps to get it that clean looking? Mine looked pretty cloudy all the way through compared to yours.

Thanks for the compliment!

I never got clear beer in bottles. Once I started kegging though, it was like magic. I presume my problem was chill haze.

By the time the keg has been in the fridge in a couple weeks all the haze has dropped and gone into the first couple pints, and voila, bright beer. I also force-carb via the set-and-forget method, which gives the haze 7-14 days to settle before I even pull the first pint.

It must be the extract in the kit. That is much closer to THAs color. My Irish red AG copy was much lighter than the extract version I did over the winter.

I also have found that kegging produces clearer beer than bottles.
