Brulosophy quick lager method?

Hello I have a lager fermenting right now the gravity is 1.065og an the final gravity is 1.016. Now the people at Brulosophy say to let it ferment until it’s 50% from your Final gravity. so i know i take 65-16=49/2=24.5 an then take 65-24.5= which would be 1.040 to 1.041. I am thinking that were the 50% is. So what i am asking is my math right?

The trend is more important than the numbers. You are doing the math right, but it only matters a little. And the particular yeast you use makes a difference, too.
