Fascinating study, haven’t heard of Brewtan B before. Definitely piques the interest.

Hopefully it will be available to homebrewers by this summer.

Piggy backing a little bit off of this, for my understanding is O2 more of a hot side concern for lagers than ales or is it something that may be worth looking at more carefully for both? I do everything I can to reduce it as much as possible post fermentation but I haven’t really looked at hot side much other than general browsing for information.

Oxygen uptake can be a problem at every stage of brewing, not just the cold side.

@denny I’ve had success with Brewtan B. I certainly hope it becomes more readily available. I’ve also had success with Polyclar Brewbrite, which I think works better. I wish that too would be available as it doesn’t require additional kettle finings.
