I brewed NB Extra Special Bitter all grain yesterday. I still getting use to the new equipment. I hit all my temps. My alpha temp(144) was off but but I kept it at that temp for the short time (15 min). The beta temp (160) was right on for the duration (45) min. Looked for a dryness favor in the beer .
I sparge for an hour and you could see right through it and kept it at 167. The before boil was 1.040, after boil was 1.053. With the all the rain in upstate NY, the ph needed work.
