Biab?

Hello I have done 2 batches so far using the BIAB method. I have brew all-grain before but using the cooler set up. So my question is I been keeping track of my Efficiency’s between the 2 BIAB batch’s now on the first one I got 54% Brewhouse Efficiency an on the second one 58.1% Brewhouse Efficiency on the one I did last Friday these Efficiency’s for both are what beersmith is telling me. But I am also a little confused about which Efficiency’s to use for BIAB?

What method of sparging are you using…no sparge, dunk sparge, batch sparge, etc?

I do no sparge BIAB brewing…

You can do sparging with biab brewing. But it depends on your size kettle as well or sparge dunk in hot water. In a separate kettle

Next time reserve a gallon of your BIAB strike water. Heat that gallon in a separate pot to 170° and do a simple pour over sparge. You’ll see an increase in efficiency.

are you squeezing the bag? or dunking a second time. Even without sparging I was hitting 70% now with sparging and squeezing I’m at 80%

Don’t you already have another thread going where this is being discussed?
